The Department of Respiratory Medicine is committed to delivering high-quality patient care and medical education. We provide comprehensive training for undergraduate and postgraduate students, fostering an environment of academic excellence.

Our department offers specialized services for patients with tuberculosis and other respiratory diseases through dedicated OPD and IPD facilities. We have separate male and female wards and a dedicated Respiratory Intensive Care Unit (RICU) for managing critically ill respiratory patients. Additionally, we specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of drug-resistant tuberculosis (MDR & XDR TB) in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

The department is equipped with advanced diagnostic and treatment facilities, including sputum microscopy and CBNAAT testing for tuberculosis, basic and advanced spirometry (DLCO) for obstructive and restrictive lung diseases, as well as pleural fluid aspiration and intercostal drainage procedures for conditions like pleural effusion, hydrothorax, pneumothorax, and empyema. We also offer bronchoscopy, thoracoscopy, and sleep study services for comprehensive respiratory care.
